Hoy navegando sin rumbo por la web, me encontré con estas imágenes espectaculares, como siempre, de Annie Leibovitz, inspiradas en la historia de Hansel y Gretel. De la mano de una genia de la moda, como Grace Coddington y con Lily Cole junto a Andrew Garfield (mi último amor platónico desde que vi Never Let me Go) personificando a los dos protagonistas del cuento, más la aparición de Lady Gaga como la bruja mala, ya se pueden imaginar lo que son estas fotos! Realmente un espectáculo para la vista y la imaginación.

Today browsing the web, I found these Annie Leibovitz's spectacular (as always) images, inspired by the story of Hansel and Gretel. By the hand of a fashion genius and legend, Grace Coddington and with Lily Cole and Andrew Garfield (my last crush since I saw Never Let me Go) as the two main characters, plus the special appearance of Lady Gaga as the bad witch, you can already picture what these photos are! A unique show for the eyes and the imagination.

Anna Dello Russo, reconocida fashionista y directora de moda de Vogue Japón, posó parte de la colección de primavera 2011 Net-a-porter.com, como parte de su nueva revista y siguiendo los pasos de Alexa Chung, quien fuera la cara del número anterior.

Los looks son fabulosos, fiel reflejo del lujo y extravagancia que personifica Anna. Toda una inspiración y sobretodo, una invitación a animarse a jugar un poco más con nuestro guardarropas.

Oscars 2011: (Plum) Royalty

Algunos de mis preferidos de la noche, donde claramente reinaron los colores violaceos y rojos (próximo post). Primero, Cate Blanchett con un vestido de Givenchy, que seguramente a más de uno le pareció raro pero a mi me encantó por los detalles y la espalda, además lo supo acompañar muy bien con un maquillaje y peinado bien sobrio. Después, la actriz del Cisne Negro, Mila Kunis en Elie Saab, vestido que ya había usado Halle Berry en rojo hace unas semanas. And last but not least, Scarlett Johansson en Dolce & Gabbana, que aunque no me convenció mucho la parte del corpiño, me parece que hubiera quedado mejor con un corte recto, me encantó el peinado y maquillaje. Fue un look adecuado para el evento pero sin querer robar protagonismo a las nominadas.

A ustedes que les parecieron estos looks?

Some of my favourite looks of the evening, where clearly plum and red tones rule. First, Cate Blanchett with a Givenchy dress, that surely more than one thought it was a bit weird but that I absolutely loved for the details and fabulous back. Besides, her natural makeup went great with the whole look.

Another, the actress from Black Swan, Mila Kunis in Elie Saab, a dress that we've seen before in Halle Berry.

Last but not least, Scarlett Johansson, looking beautiful as usual with a Dolce & Gabbana dress, that even thought I'm still not quite sure about the upper (I think I'd look so much better if the bra would have been straight) was stunning and her make up and hair perfect. For me it was a proper look for the event but without trying to steal the attenuation from the nominees.

Los blazers están en su cima, son elegantes y las posibilidades de combinarlos son infinitas. ¿Quien no tiene un blazer negro en su placard? Por supuesto que negro no es la única opción, la década de los ochenta nos dejo como legajo un sin fin de colores y estampados que hoy vuelven. Entre ellos, el naranja, color "it" para la próxima temporada estival. Un blazer de este tono levanta cualquier outfit dándole personalidad y un toque divertido. Las opciones son varias: Rachel Bilson lo usó con tonos nude, Olivia Palermo con tweed y Whitney Port se animó a los contrastes con el azul y mostaza. ¿Ustedes que opinan? ¿Se animan al blazer naranja?
