Pastel Color Hair/ Cabello Pastel. Yay/Nay?
Hace un tiempo venimos viendo en editoriales de moda, celebrities y desfiles está tendencia. A algunos les puede parecer un disparate y yo personalmente no me veo con esto (ya tuve mi incursión en los colores locos a los 15 y fue suficiente) pero tengo que admitir me gusta! Es una mezcla entre girly y punk y nadie puede objetar que es menos natural que algunos colorados que se ven por ahí. Además hoy existen en el mercado productos lavables y extensiones de colores así que no hay grandes riesgos. ¿Y a ustedes que les parece? ¿Lo usarían o les parece too much?
We’ve been seeing this trend for a while at fashion editorials, celebrities and fashion shows. For some it may seem crazy and I personally don’t see myself with this ( I’ve already had pink hair when I was 15 and it’s enough for me) but I have to admit I like it! It’s a mix between girly and punk and nobody can say it’s less natural than some of the red hair we’ve seen around. Besides, today there are available washable products and color extensions so there are not big risks. And what do you think about this? Would you wear it or it’s too much?

Snow Queen: Rapsodia Fall/Winter 2011

Los 70 y las tribus nómades se fusionaron par adar con una renovada versión del estilo étnico. Looks festivos, brocatos y pedrería, son protagonistas. Así presenta Rapsodía su nueva colección, con una campaña que me suena a mezcla entre “Where the Wild things are” y la que hizo Hermes para su invierno del 2009. Los musts:

A mí, como todas sus temporadas anteriores, me encanta. Habrá que empezar a ahorrar para comprar el abrigo tipo Penny en “Almost famous” o entrar a revolver el ropero de la familia en busca de algún gamulan olvidado de los 70.
Snow Queen: Rapsodia Fall/Winter 2011-02-01
“A snow wind blows and the white fall invite us to the mountain. This season Rapsodia warm us in a Folk Deluxe. The 70’s and the nomad tribes fusion to give a new version of the ethnic style. This winter crows himself with a “snow queen” style: embellished pieces, unique knitting inspired by coats from far lands, orient silks, leather and studs in a new generation. Festive looks, brocades and stones are the main characters. The colors pop out, florals in bright tones, multicolored jacquards and prints, camouflage within each other in perfect sinthony. That’s how Rapsodia introduces their new collection, with a campaign that tastes like “Where the wild things are” and the one Hermes did for their 2009 winter. The musts:

As all their previous collection, I love it. Maybe it’s time to start saving to get the coat like the one Penny has on “Almost Famous” or to go craving the family closet in the search for a forgotten sheepskin coat from the 70’s.

Como usar el Mini editor/How to use the Mini Editor:
Si no sos usuario frecuente de Polyvore puede que te cueste un poquito entender cómo funciona al principio pero no dejes que eso te tire para atrás, como ya dije es más fácil de lo que parece / If you are not a frecuent Polyvore user it may cost a little at the beginning but don’t let this dissapoint you, as I said befote, it is easier than it seems.
1- Para crear un set, hace click en el boton del mini editor que dice: CREATE. Despúes, mirá los ítems que hay en la barra de abajo . Una vez que hayas visto algo que te guste, hacé click sobre la prenda y arrastrala manteniendo apretado el boton izquierdo del Mouse, al centro de la pantalla del editor. Elegí cuantos elementos quieras para crear el look (limite: 50 items) y acomodalos a gusto. To create a set, click on the CREATE button you’ll find at the Left side of the editor. Scroll through the fashion items at the bottom and once you’ve found something you like drag it to the center of the editor. Choose all the items you like (limit: 50 items) and put them as you prefer.
2- Generalmente gustan más los sets que no dejan demasiados espacios vacíos. Para ello aprovechá las herramientas que brinda el editor. Al hacer click sobre un item, van a aparecer arriba varios botones. El de SHOW BGND permite eliminar el fondo de la imagen, ideal para superponerlas. Para hacer esto ultimo usá los botones de HACIA ATRÁS y HACIA ADELANTE. Generally people like more sets that don’t leave to many blank spaces. To do so, use the tool the editor has. When you click over an item, there’ll appear a serie of buttons up. SHOW BGND is to eliminate the background of the image. You can also use the buttons BRING FORWARD and BRING BACKWARD. También se pueden rotar los elementos haciendo click sobre la imagen, ahí tiene que aparecer un circulo chiquito sobre la parte superior del marco cuadrado de esta. Haciendo click sobre el círculo y moviendo el Mouse hacia izquierda o derecha se puede girar la imagen a gusto. You can rotate the elements by clicking over the image, there’ll appear a small circle over the image and clicking over it and moving your Mouse to right or left you’ll be able to rotate the image
3- Una vez que está listo, hacé click sobre el boton ENTER CONTEST y listo! Once it’s ready, click on ENTER CONTEST and done!

Concurso/Contest: Dress Bergdorf Goodman's Linda Fargo for Fashion Week
Querés asistir a un desfile en la semana de la moda de NY, gastar USD2500 en Bergdorf Goodman, además de recibir un make-over de pelo y maquillaje? De ensueño, no? Bueno, ahora tenés la chance. Todo lo que tenés que hacer es crear un set (collage) en el mini editor que vas a encontrar más arriba. Usando todas tus habilidades como estilista y los ítems que hay en la barra inferior, armá un conjunto para la directora de moda de Bergdorf Goodman, Linda Fargo, para que asista a los desfiles de la semana de la moda. Linda personalmente va a elegir a la ganadora para que la acompañe en esta experiencia única. Así que.. ¿qué estás esperando? Hay tiempo hasta el lunes 31 de enero. Cuantos más sets crees, más chances de ganar. Cualquier duda acerca de cómo usar el mini editor no dudes en preguntarme, es más fácil de lo que parece. Mucha suerte y… a crear!

Hoy un post rapidito porque tengo que estudiar! Pienso en la pila de apuntes y me entra el pánico... Y como ya falta poco para febrero, vamos entrando en ambiente para lo que va a ser San Valentín, acá les dejo una propuesta de conjunto como para una salida tranqui, tipo tardecita. ¿Ustedes ya tienen idea de lo que van a hacer? Yo generalmente no soy muy fanática de este tipo de celebraciones pero me gusta hacer algo, aunque sea chiquito para no perder la costumbre. Ya sea con novio o amigos, cualquier excusa es buena para festejar!
Today a quick post because I have to study! I think about the pile of books waiting for me and I start to panic... And as February is near, we start to get in the mood for Valentine's day, here I leave you an outfit idea for a quiet date, maybe an afternoon date. ¿Do you already know what you are gonna do that day? I'm not a big fan of this kind of celebrations but I like to do something, even if it's small. With boyfriend or friends, any excuse it's valid to celebrate!
