Fashion Report: Vinchas/Headbands
Llegó Diciembre y con ello se nos vienen encima fiestas de fin de año, reuniones con amigos y graduaciones. Con tantos eventos pero sin la posibilidad de estrenar un vestido nuevo para cada ocasión, muchas optamos por adquirir un vestido negro comodín y la clave para que no se note tanto la repetición está en los accesorios. Una buena opción para completar un look y darle algo de brillo extra son las vinchas, que vienen pisando fuerte desde que el personaje de Leighton Meester, Blair Waldorf en Gossip Girl hiciera de ellas su marca registrada.
Para la noche, son ideales las que vienen con piedras, lentejuelas o plumas. También son tendencia los moños bien grandes, como mostró Uma en su último desfile en el BAF. Otra opción son las con cadenas, que se pueden usar como estamos acostumbradas o para un estilo mas hippie sobre la frente, al mejor estilo de Nicole Ritchie o Mischa Barton.
Yo estoy en la búsqueda de una, Vitamina tiene una preciosa bordada con cristales a $138, 47Street tiene un modelo similar pero algo mas sencillo, a $39 y en TodoModa tienen varias para elegir también, con cadenas, plumas y flores, a aproximadamente $15. Algunas opciones internacionales son las que ofrece Forever21 que tiene muchísimas y todas a menos de USD10 (atenti que hacen envíos a todo el mundo) y mi preferida, de JuicyCouture con base elástica y bordada con piedras, pero que lamentablemente está a USD65 =(.
¿Ustedes las usan? ¿Cómo las combinan? Si conocen algún otro lugar que tenga vinchas lindas pasen el dato! ;)

With so many events but without the budged to wear something new for each occasion, a lot of us choose to invest in a LBD and the key to make the repetition unnoticeable is on accessories. A good option to complete a look and add some glow are headbands, that made an statement since Leighton Meester's character, Blair Waldorf at Gossip Girl made of them her signature look.
For the evening, the ones with feathers, stones and sequins are ideal. Also another big trend are huge bows, are Uma showed on her last runway show at the BAF. Other option are chains, that can be worn as we are used to or over the forehead for a hippie chic look, as Nicole Ritchie and Mischa Barton usually wear.
I'm in the search of one, Vitamina has a beautiful one with crystals at $138, 47Street has one similar but a little simpler at $39 and at Todo Moda, they have several headbands to choose, at $15 aprox. Some international options are the ones Forever21 has, they offer a lot of different designs and all for less than USD10 (they ship worldwide) and finally, my favorite, from Juicy Couture with elastic band and embellished with gems, but unfortunately it costs USD65. =(

The Lovely Owls
Hace unos días recibi un regalito por correo, era el giveaway del blog little chief honeybee de la divina Kaelah Bee. Si no lo han visitado aún se los recomiendo, junto a su novio Mike y su bulldog frances Georgia + su nuevo bebé Pipkin, día a día muestra looks super románticos y femeninos (en contraste con su pelo rojo furioso, piercings y tatuajes), hermosas fotos de bodas al mejor estilo indie y geniales mixtapes. También, regularmente lleva a cabo giveaways como el de 1AEON, en el cual tuve la suerte de salir sorteada.
Y es así como recibi este bolsito divino, con estampa de búhos (que tan de moda están) y que además brillan en la oscuridad. Es ideal para cargar varios libros para la facu o como acompañante para un lindo día en el parque. Además, cosa que no es menor para mí por lo menos, llegó envuelto en un papel de seda precioso con tarjetita y todo. Espero que les guste como a mi y gracias a Kaelah and 1AEON! xoxo
A few days ago I received a little present by mail, it was a giveaway from little chief honeybee by the sweet Kaelah Bee. If you haven't visited it yet I recommend you to, with her boyfriend Mike, her French bulldog Georgia + her new baby (a puppy) Pipkin, day by day she shows super romantic and feminine looks (in contrast with her furious red hair, piercings and tattoos), lovely indie wedding pictures and awesome mixtapes. Also, regularly she have fantastics giveaways like the one from 1AEON, which I had the luck of winning.
That's how I received this lovely bag, with owls print on it (that are very in right now) and that also glows in the dark, how awesome is that?!. It's ideal to carry books for college or a perfect companion for a beautiful day at the park. Besides that, another thing that is not minor to me at least, it came wrapped in a gorgeous silk paper with a pretty card. I hope you like it as much as I did and thank you Kaelah and 1AEON! xoxo
